Here is a selection of tricks created by Werner Miller from his ebooks. These are all tricks that can be considered more or less self-working.

Tricks To Go by Aldo Colombini Vol 1

CONTENTS:

  • FLIPDOODLE 1: You use the twelve face cards to produce an astonishing result that finds three of the same suit.
  • I’M NOT OGEN: A spectator ‘makes up a card combining any two cards. You spell the name of that card and you find it. Finally, you find the other three cards of the same value.
  • CHEERS!: You show seven cards with name of drinks on them and a prediction. A spectator selects a drink and you show that the prediction is correct… with a laugh.
  • ALL YOU NEED IS…: Strong routine suitable for couples, Valentine day, etc. A man and a woman shuffle two packets of cards with letters and a kiss symbol that spell LOVE. At the end, they are invited to KISS each other due to the result of the effect! You’ll perform this forever.
  • YOUR CARD: A card is selected and lost. After a magic spell, you find the card as the only reversed card in a packet.
  • PAGE & LINE: A simple way to force two numbers for a book test or other effects. You will be given many ways to force different numbers.
  • A DOG’S CHANCE: Six cards with the spots of a dice on them and a money card. The spectator has six chances to find the money card but you will end up having it.
  • HEY, PETER!: A card is selected, say the 10C. Four cards are removed, one for each suit. The card of the same suit turns face down. The other three cards reveal the value of the selected card. Finally, the other three Tens turn face up in the middle of the deck.
  • OLRAM ARROWS: A unique effect. You show cards blank on both sides. One card is signed by a spectator and the cards are shuffled. Arrows appear on the cards pointing to the signed one.
  • STAND TO LOSE: Clever routine involving REAL money. Three boxes are on the table and a spectator picks TWO of them; they are empty. The final box that remains for you contains money.

CONTENTS:

  • DIAMOND SPELLER: The thirteen cards of Diamonds are used to reveal a freely selected card.
  • FREE CUT DUO: Two spectators pick a card each and lose them in a packet of cards. You reveal these cards.
  • FETCH + HOFZINSER: A spectator cuts any amount of cards and selects two cards. The sum of these two cards corresponds to the number of cards cut by the first spectator.
  • CAUGHT TOGETHER, HANGED TOGETHER: One card is selected. Two Jacks capture four cards and one of these cards is the selected one, say the AS. The other three cards are seen to be the other three Aces.
  • AUTO TRANSPO: Two selected cards appear as the only red among a black packet and the only black among a red packet.
  • LADIES ON A VISIT: A fantastic routine with the appearance of four Queens, then four Jacks, then four Kings and, finally, the four Aces.
  • THE CALENDAR CARD: Using the ‘months’ of the year, you reveal a freely selected card.
  • SNOOPY: A card with a picture of a dog (Snoopy) finds a spectator’s selection.
  • COURT-DIE-ALLY: The face cards are used and after shuffled, you separate them in groups: Kings, Jacks and Queens.
  • CUPIDITY: Cupid is used to pair lovers, like Adam and Eve, Anthony and Cleopatra, Miss Piggy and Kermit, etc.!

CONTENTS:

  • THE FRENCH CARD TRAP: Here is a non-sleight-of-hand method of locating up to twelve selected cards.
  • 4TUITOUS: A principle that can be used as a simple prediction in its own right, or as a number force in another effect.
  • AS EASY AS COUNTING: A freely selected card is revealed in a very humorous way.
  • GO WEST: Another funny and very interesting way to reveal a card with messages written on face cards. Just follow them. (For an exploration of this new method see All Roads Lead to Rome.)
  • HALVES: Unique coincidences using cards cut in half. Great with jumbo cards as well.
  • APART-TOGETHER: This brilliant routine uses the 12 face cards only (Kings, Queens and Jacks).
  • DOUBLE SANDWICH: A production of four-of-a-kind combined with the location of a selected card.
  • 4-3-2-1: The four Kings and the four Aces are shuffled but a spectator can sort them out and separate them in two groups.
  • RIGHT HERE: One of Werner’s favorite card routines. And this says a lot.
  • WITHOUT CUPID’S HELP: Pairing lovers is a wonderful job. Your female audience will be delighted to help Cupid.

Tricks To Go by Aldo Colombini Vol 4

CONTENTS:

  • DO NOT DISTURB: Here is Werner’s version of the classic Hotel Mystery, totally self-working.
  • EQUIVALENT: A new principle. Cards are dealt in packets and one is selected by a spectator. The card on top indicates the sum of the cards below the other piles.
  • LINE DANCER: A freely selected card is revealed using a reversed card.
  • MOITIÉ, MOITIÉ: A very interesting routine using five Clubs cards cut in the middle.
  • AND HER SON: A selected card is lost among the four Queens and the four Jacks and found by a magical spelling.
  • SIX HEARTS, SIX SPADES: From a packet of 12 cards, the spectator picks one. He answers a question and, using the answer, the mate of that card is located.
  • THIS SUIT, THAT VALUE: You show two decks. From one deck eight cards are selected and used to make up a hypothetical card and a number. When spreading the other deck, this card is found at that number.
  • SPELL THE 4MULA: The spectator selects four different cards and decides on any of them. You spell the name and find the other three cards of that value.
  • DC SPELLER: Two selected cards are found using the help of the spectators who selected them.
  • IN BETWEEN: A written prediction is left in view. A selected card appears between two other cards with a surprising outcome!
